A Kid Again-Northern Ohio

A Kid Again of Northern Ohio (office in Twinsburg) is looking for a part-time, energetic, out-going, self-motivated individual to identify and procure unique and exciting silent and live auction items for its fall Gala; An Adventure Down Bourbon Street. This event will be at Cleveland’s hottest new venue Tenk on the West Bank on Saturday, November 10, 2018 and is this chapter’s largest fundraiser.

This assertive, professional, go-getter will report directly to the Director of Family Programs and Communications.   This individual will also assist in the annual gala planning and execution including but not limited to: all aspects of the silent and live auctions (identify, track and procure unique auction items, create auction baskets, and implement mobile bidding programs and execute silent auction).  Other duties include, volunteer supervision, editing and proofing event print materials, and event set-up and tear down and event execution as assigned.

Ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, must be self-driven and possess contacts within the community. Strong sales, communications, organizational and computer skills (Word, Excel, data base experience) a must. Nonprofit and social media experience a plus but not mandatory. To start, this will be 24 hours per week position and may increase to ensure the success of this organization’s largest fundraiser.

A Kid Again exists to foster hope, happiness and healing to families raising children with life-threatening illnesses.  We do so by taking ill children out on fun-filled, cost-free group adventures throughout the year such as Cedar Point, Boo at the Zoo and The Good Time III to name a few .  Siblings and parents are included because illness affects the entire family.
