Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO), headquartered in Macedonia, Ohio, is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, serving nearly 30,000 girls across 18 counties.  GSNEO seeks a Coordinator, Fund Development, to assist the Fund Development department in advancing our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Position Summary: The Coordinator, Fund Development provides administrative support for the Fund Development Department for all fund raising and development related events and tasks. The Coordinator, Fund Development under the supervision of the Director of Fund Development, assists with fund raising activities including donor relations, fundraising and donor appreciation and cultivation events, and other fund development activities. Position provides administrative support for donor database, mailings, meeting coordination and logistics, donor acknowledgments, and recognition. Responds to all inquiries in a high quality, customer friendly and efficient manner that will yield overall donor satisfaction and ensure a professional image of the organization. The Coordinator exhibits excellent skills in grammar, writing and editing; ability to solve problems and use initiative; assists in planning and executing high level events and functions; is proficient in multi-tasking; and develops initiatives and processes designed to improve workflow, communication and productivity. The Coordinator is the primary staff person responsible for data management and reporting for the Fund Development Department and maintaining strict confidentiality regarding donor records.

Major Accountabilities: Responsible for creating and maintaining records in DonorPerfect database. Responsible for the logging, tracking, and acknowledgement of special gifts such as stock gifts, planned gifts and realized bequests in accordance with established procedures. Design, develop, and produce reports and analyses through queries and report manipulation by assimilating data from database and other sources; identify changes that need to be made to database to support requirements for reporting and analysis. Provide staff support to Fund Development Steering Committee meetings and other meetings as needed. Work with Director to schedule and send notice of meetings, develop agenda, provide materials and information as needed and requested, set up for meetings including conference calls, and take and distribute meeting minutes.

Responsible for accuracy of all mailing lists composed of donors, prospects, Alumnae and other specific target groups. Responsible for maintaining an effective fund development data management system to ensure accurate donor acknowledgement. Responsible for customized queries, exports, mail merges, mailing lists, and reports, to support reporting requirements for the Board of Directors and related committees. Assists in establishing and implementing fund development plans, goals and budgets for the department. Assist with design and mailings of all fundraising appeals, annual reports, newsletters, invitations and other donor correspondence. Performs advanced confidential duties requiring a broad knowledge of the organization’s policies, operating procedures, equipment, and DonorPerfect software application. Maintains pledge records and invoices donors. Responsible for preparing correspondence, via mail and email to prospects and donors. Makes follow-up calls to volunteers, Alumnae, prospects and donors. Assists with events organized by the Fund Development Department and GSNEO.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and/or a combination of related work experience. Proven office administrative experience. Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality. Computer literacy and technical facility with MSOffice products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, constituent management databases (e.g., Donor Perfect/Raiser’s Edge), website management and web-based applications a must.
