The Board of any nonprofit is key to the successful implementation of its mission and fundraising plan. What is the role of the Governance and Nominating Committees in recruiting the right Board members? How important is the proper orientation? In this interactive session, we will examine the criteria for Board membership, the qualifications and profile of a good Trustee, and the responsibility of staff leadership to engage and reengage each Trustee in the activities of the agency. We will focus on the partnership between the Board and the Staff, and how to evaluate the performance of each Trustee.
