Discussion topic:
Do you want to know what the “Next Generation Fundraisers” are like? Why they are choosing this vocation? What they think is important about our profession? You will have a chance to learn the answers to these and other questions from college students who are getting ready to enter the fundraising field.
Our roundtable will feature a panel of students from Lakeland Community College’s AFP Collegiate Chapter, The LCC Chapter is the first community college AFP Chapter in the nation and it is sponsored by the AFP Greater Cleveland Chapter. The panel will also feature students from three other local universities who are taking course work in preparation for entering non-profit arena in the next two years.
Our panel members will provide insights on the best way to engage young people in your fundraising efforts as well as how they would use social media to reach out to the newest members of the fundraising profession. The presentation will be interactive with panel members responding to your questions and we will also give the panel a chance to ask “The Experts” in our audience the things they would like to know about fundraising.
The panel will be moderated by Bob Cahen PhD., Executive Director of the Lakeland Foundation. Bob, an AFPGC Board member, was instrumental in establishing the AFP Chapter at Lakeland Community College. He will share his insights on why LCC wanted to have a collegiate chapter and the impact it has had on the students who have joined.
Please join us for what promises to be an informative and lively presentation.
