Many of us know that planned gifts can be transformational for almost any sized non-profit.  However, if you are part of a small development staff, planned gifts are often the last thing  you get around to, and when you do receive one it’s usually a mystery of how it happened.  Terms like Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity and Retained Life Interest make us feel we need to be an attorney just to talk to a donor about a planned gift.
