Planned Giving Strategies for Small to Mid-Sized Organizations

Join us Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1 PM EST For this virtual presentation

Many of us know that planned gifts can be transformational for almost any sized non-profit.  However, if you are part of a small development staff, planned gifts are often the last thing  you get around to, and when you do receive one it’s usually a mystery of how it happened.  Terms like Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity and Retained Life Interest make us feel we need to be an attorney just to talk to a donor about a planned gift.

What if by taking a few simple steps, you were able create an effective planned giving program for your organization that had the potential to generate significant gifts to support your mission?

Our panel of experts will show you how to create awareness for planned gifts among your donors, identify key prospects and cultivate them, without having a staff person dedicated to planned giving.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • About current trends in Planned Giving [PG]
  • Effective ways to market PG’s to your current/new donors
  • How to get your board “on board” with PG
  • How to use Life Insurance as a simple tool to grow your PG program
  • How to identify PG prospects you already have, and how to start the conversation with them

You will also be given access to a tool kit to get you started.

Tim McCormick, McCormick Consulting
