Dan Blakemore, CFRE
Director of Development
Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Dan Blakemore, CFRE is the Director of Development at the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day management of the eight-person fundraising team along with corporate partnerships, special events and legacy giving. Dan has spent his 13-year fundraising career supporting the missions of historic organizations including Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, International House and The Jewish Museum. He currently sits on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Northeast Ohio Chapter and on the Orange Community Education & Recreation Commission, while also serving as a volunteer with CFRE International.

Jim Hofbauer
Senior Development Officer
University Hospitals

Jim Hofbauer is a Senior Development Officer at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. Jim started his fundraising career in 2001 at Kent State University, where he worked as an undergraduate at the student call center. In 2005, he was hired on full-time as the Program Manager of that same student calling program. In 2007, he decided to leave behind the beautiful Ohio weather for an opportunity as the Associate Director of Annual Giving at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Jim relocated back to Ohio in 2011 to work in College Athletics as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development at Kent State University. In 2017, Jim decided to leave higher education for healthcare when he accepted a position as a Development Officer at University Hospitals. He now oversees the fundraising efforts for UH Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, as well as the Connor Integrative Health Network.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his daughter, Hadley Sue. He also enjoys trying to improve his handicap during the six months he can actually play golf in Ohio.

LeAirra Lacey, MBA
Corporate Gift Officer
The Cleveland Orchestra

LeAirra Lacey is the Corporate Gift Officer at The Cleveland Orchestra. She started fundraising in 2011, at Miami University, where she studied Kinesiology and Health. After college, she continued fundraising at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and then Gross Schechter Day School in Pepper Pike. LeAirra’s favorite part of fundraising is building relationships with donors, meeting fundraising goals, and networking with other Cleveland professionals.
Outside of work, she enjoys interior design projects and going on walks with her husband, Jon, and two dogs, Prince and Charlie.

Laurie Gettings
Athena Advising, LLC

Laurie Gettings, a consultant at Athena Advising, LLC, is an energetic professional with 15+ years in internal and external public relations, fundraising and marketing experience. Laurie is a purposeful, persuasive development and communications professional with a strong background in marketing and media relations. She has provided budgeting, strategic planning, personnel and crisis management, as well as media relations for The Ohio State University Medical Center, Mercy Health Partners and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Laurie has a record for leadership development and team building skills. She has built and led development boards, volunteer boards, event committees, and corporate work committees. She has strong, creative problem-solving capabilities has led to a history of achieving challenging goals in a demanding environment.
Laurie has shared her skills and abilities as a consultant with Cleveland State University Marshall College of Law, MetroHealth, The American Diabetes Association and more. She has served on the boards of Connecting for Kids, Early Childhood PTA, Westlake PTA, CAC and AFP.

Outside of work, Laurie loves to spend time with her family and dogs, travel, read and spend time with friends.
