Spooky Ethical Scenarios: Real Ethical Situations with Real Ethical Solutions
Thursday, October 13, 2022
JumpStart, 6701 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH 44103
8:30 am to 10:00 am
The October spooky season is upon us and our thoughts are turning to ghosts, monsters, and. . . spooky ethical scenarios.
Almost every fundraiser eventually comes across a situation where their professional ethics come into play. Maybe you’ve been asked if you work on commission, or have had to advocate for donor intent in the way an organization wants to use a gift, or have even had to work through a donor name on your building now being associated with something terrible.
Join AFP of Greater Cleveland to solve real-life ethical scenarios with your peers. In this interactive session, we will discuss ethical situations that have come up in our members’ work (with all identifying information removed, of course), talk about what we would have done to resolve the issue, and come away with new insights that will help us all handle future ethical questions.
Moderator Diane Strachan, CFRE, will lead what promises to be a spirited session.
Please submit your scenarios here: bit.ly/AFPGCEthical We will present and discuss the most interesting and challenging situations during the session, with all identifying information removed.
