(Hybrid position in Macedonia Office three days per week, up to two days working from home)

The Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for planning and implementing strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors to support the mission of GSNEO. This position will oversee direct mail and e-mail solicitation strategies and manage donor stewardship strategies. The Manager, Individual Giving will focus on strategically expanding the organization’s annual giving program with a goal of significantly increasing the base of annual gifts.

 

Major Accountabilities Include:

  • Secure new, renewed, and increased funding from individuals through face-to-face solicitation, online giving, direct mail campaigns, special events, and proposals
  • Assure accurate and timely gift entry, reporting and stewardship
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with individual donors, volunteers, alumnae and lifetime members
  • Plan and execute steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for annual donors giving unrestricted gifts to the annual fund
  • Further develop and implement giving societies to establish a pipeline of annual giving donors and major gift donors
  • Collaborate with the Vice President, Fund Development to establish benchmarks and regular reporting processes to measure results of all annual fund activities
  • Document all contacts and relationships in DonorPerfect

Salary Range

$43-46,000

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience commensurate with degree; three to five years related experience preferred
  • High-level computer literacy and proficiency with fundraising databases and the MS Office suite of software applications. Experience using DonorPerfect or similar fundraising software required.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; Experience creating direct mail and other giving appeals on different platforms
  • Experience in analyzing giving reports and developing an Annual Giving Plan
  • Experience planning and managing events for fundraising
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; proven project management experience, including the ability to anticipate, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow through on projects with limited supervision while adhering to established council guidelines and procedures
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills, and a collaborative, positive attitude
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion; ability to work with individuals with a variety of backgrounds and abilities; ability to work effectively with a diverse employee, volunteer, and donor population
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
